國民黨立委吳育昇等人日前提出臨時提案，要求將辣椒水列為警察合法配備，對此，行政院長江宜樺今（30）日備詢時回應表示，「目前的警械已經充足了，沒必要再增加」。

國民黨立委吳育昇日前在立法院會臨時提案，建議行政院與內政部應重新檢討「警察機關配備警械種類及規格表」，讓警方配備對人體無永久性傷害的「辣椒噴霧器」。民進黨立委蔡其昌今即表示，「辣椒用來吃火鍋就好了，不要噴在正直人民的臉上」。

江宜樺今日接受民進黨立委高志鵬質詢時指出，目前台灣的警械已經充足，還沒打算增列辣椒噴霧器。至於是否同意香港警方用催淚瓦斯驅離民眾的作法？江宜樺則說，「不對其他國家或地區評論」。
