西濱快速道路有如第3條國道，但用路人臨時要上廁所較不便，公路總局將設超商、加油站指標，預計11月中旬上路。

交通部公路總局說，西濱快速公路北起新北市八里，南至台南曾文溪北岸，全長約356公里，已通車路段約245公里，未完成的部分列入續建設計畫，預定民國108年全線完工，有助分流國道交通量。

西濱快雖是台灣南北走向另一條重要交通動脈，但因不是國道，沿途並未設服務區，用路人臨時想要上廁所並不方便。

公總局希望提升西濱快速公路服務品質，調查距離西濱快交流道2公里內有提供廁所服務的超商或加油站據點，並在交流道出口前設指示牌。

公路總局統計，西濱快全線包括南下及北上有73處交流道，但因公路靠海，只有29處交流道在2公里範圍內，有加油站或超商。

公路總局說，西濱快速公路車流量依路段而不同，中部車流量較大，最高每天可達1萬1000輛次，北部及南部平均約4000至8000輛次，少數路段只有約2000輛次。(中央社)
