委內瑞拉央行14日公布，2月的年通膨率攀升至57.3%，因反政府示威演變為暴力事件，對經濟造成衝擊。

身為石油輸出國組織（OPEC）成員國的委內瑞拉是全球通貨膨脹最嚴重的地區之一，當局表示，雖有示威抗議，但與前一個月相較，2月的通膨已放緩至2.4%，低於1月的3.3%。

不滿民生基本用品匱乏和消費者物價高漲的示威者，自2月中旬以來持續擋路抗議，要求總統馬杜洛（Nicolas Maduro）辭職下台；馬杜洛則怪罪反對黨領袖領導的「經濟戰爭」導致通膨激升。
