美國1名男子將貓咪當驚喜送給女友當聖誕禮物，卻遭到女友拒絕，男子一氣之下將貓勒死。

據美國《紐約每日新聞》報導，現年23歲居住在加州的謝爾蓋（Sergei Smirnoff），在聖誕節為了給女友驚喜，就到動物收容中心領養4歲大的貓咪當禮物。

沒想到卻遭到女友拒絕，謝爾蓋竟然當場勒住貓咪的脖子，貓咪不斷的掙扎，最後仍然被謝爾蓋勒死。

謝爾蓋最後將貓咪的屍體棄屍在女友的車庫裡，日前遭到警方拘捕，他坦承犯案，事後獲准2萬美元(約新台幣62元)交保候傳。
