比人行道窄 頭前溪橋機車道好擠

〔自由時報記者王駿杰／新竹報導〕竹北市民眾抱怨，連接新竹縣市的頭前溪橋，機車道只有狹窄雙線道，甚至旁邊的人行道都比機車道寬，使尖峰時刻通勤的機車族常在該路段發生車禍，希望縣府能重新規劃，保障機車族的行車安全。

議員葉芬英說，頭前溪橋的問題存在已久，常常在尖峰時刻，看見機車族在狹小的橋上爭道，真的好危險，希望縣府能正視，請專人協同會勘，改善行車環境。

頭前溪大橋長六百七十一公尺，機車道寬三米，人行道寬七．八米，記者實際走訪，發現人行道確實比機車道寬。

同時，根據新竹縣警察局交通隊提供資料顯示，今年一至四月，中華路與興隆路交叉口，頭前溪大橋上橋處，共發生十五起意外事故，其中十一件有人員受傷。

對此，公路總局第一養護工程處表示，頭前溪橋開闢多年，早年的規劃可能無法因應現今狀況，若要拓寬機車道，則需評估橋的面板結構，商討車輛出入口是否要一併拓寬，近日會請專人前往評估。
