聯準會(Fed)預期，到2017年，美國失業率將降至低於5%，但央行亦預期未來二年，經濟將減緩。

在季度的預測中，Fed預估，2017年，失業率將由目前的6.1%降低到4.9%至5.3%範圍。

但2017年的經濟成長率可能減緩至2.3%至2.5%，而2015年則為3%，2016年為2.9%。這顯示屆時央行將升息，抑制經濟成長。

Fed對2015與2016年的預測少有變動，只是明年成長率可能滑落至低於3%。
