上午位於山西太原市的山西省委辦公廳附近爆炸案，中新網引述太原公安局指出，小型爆炸物爆炸事件已造成1人死亡、1人重傷、7人輕傷。新華網報導稱，爆裂物被藏在門口花叢裡，疑似自製炸彈爆炸。

據目擊者透露，爆炸一共有7聲，其中三聲是連續聲響，爆炸時飛出許多鋼珠、鐵釘，導致現場一名私家車車主當場死亡，多輛途經汽車車窗被震碎、輪胎被刺破，而即便相隔很遠，也讓一位老太太被碎片擊中，現場留下斑斑血跡。

太原市公安局交警支隊稍早前發布訊息稱，直至10時30分，省委辦公樓附近的迎澤大街已恢復雙向通行。山西省委領導第一時間趕赴現場處置，公安部門正在全力偵破此案。

大陸網友在微博披露現場照片顯示，爆炸物中有鋼珠、鐵釘等物，疑似自製炸彈。
